Charity shop rummaging in Bath

One reason I started this blog as I was preparing to move into a little house that needed a lot of work and I thought I might document doing it up here. However a massive spanner has been chucked into the works and it looks like I may not be moving for a while now - ho hum... I'm hoping that the house I set my heart on doesn't go. Anyway for now I'm just going to write about random stuff and show you random pictures as I do like to photograph everything I do.
So here goes....
I visited a friend somewhere near Bath and had a lovely time routing around in charity shops where I picked up some bits and pieces that pleased me.

Such as this funny little cat teapot (it's paw is a spout)I love it!

I also got this...

I like the green and cream colour combo it makes it look very wartime Britain, I've no idea how old it actually is.

I visited some other fab shops too and took a few snaps...

In the park

Aren't these colours beautiful? My younger daughter insists they're foxgloves but I'm not so sure... (but hey, what do I know? being a total city girl'n'all)

The pond in the park - gorgeous yes?

I'm totally new to blogging and I've no idea what I'm doing which is probably pretty obvious (!) Life has been pretty nasty in many ways recently and something that has helped me through sometimes is reading other inspiring blogs - I'll come back to those later and add some links if I can master the technology. A way I've found of coping with big scary things is to focus on smaller simpler things that are ok. I always used to do a lot of arty crafty stuff but for the last 10 years I haven't and I want to start again as I know it makes me happy.

Also one of the 'not nice' things that is happening is that me and my lovely daughters are having to move out of our much loved house, I've felt pretty miserable about this but I'm actually getting positive now. We've found a little old house which needs lots of work but I'm getting excited about doing it up and making it my own - so fingers crossed we get it.
